Description for B&B:
Nestled in the southern foothills of the Vosges, where the vast expanse of the mille-étangs begins and the water flows towards the Mediterranean Sea, you will find our charming historic farm, La Petite Rosière. Tucked away in a secluded spot just above the commune of La Rosière, our farm is situated at the end of a quiet road. With no traffic in sight apart from our own driveway, which leads to the farm through a grand covered gate, tranquility reigns supreme in this idyllic location.Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes that stretch in every direction, La Petite Rosière offers an ideal starting point for leisurely strolls and explorations along forest and meadow paths, as well as for embarking on more extensive hikes. The farmhouse, together with the old bakehouse and the quaint "tourelle," forms a picturesque ensemble. Across from these structures lies an expansive orchard that gently slopes down to a small bathing lake, graced by an imposing rock. Just beyond the lake, a captivating deciduous forest awaits, with its moss-covered rocks, ancient trees, and enchanting trails leading to scenic viewpoints and magical spots.
Above the house, the farm, and the lake, on the opposite side of the former donkey path that once connected the farm to the outside world, stretches a meadow fed by a spring. This very water source provides sustenance for our house, while a portion of the meadow now serves as a fruitful garden where we grow an array of vegetables and potatoes. Whether at the pond, on the forest's edge, among the rocks, or amidst the blossoming meadows, you will find yourself surrounded by a symphony of nature, enveloped by the presence of young and old beeches, oaks, birches, ash trees, and countless other wonders. Everywhere you turn, you will discover peaceful havens that invite you to connect with nature in its purest form.
