Description for B&B:
Located in the heart of a park filled with century-old trees and just 400 meters away from the sea, the Domain of the "Eolienne" in Carqueiranne invites you to have an unforgettable holiday experience along the beautiful azure coast. This charming countryhouse, originally built in the early 19th century and recently renovated in 2009, can comfortably accommodate 8 to 10 people. With its spacious 1400 square meter garden, the property offers a perfect blend of tranquility and convenience. Situated in close proximity to both nature and urban areas (only 20 km from Toulon and 5 km from Hyères), you will have the opportunity to bask in the abundant sunshine that graces the region, which averages an impressive 300 days of sun per year. Whether you choose to explore the countless attractions and activities the area has to offer or simply relax on the unspoiled beaches, this location ensures that you can make the most of your time.
The name of the domain, "Eolienne," is derived from a former windmill that once stood on the property. This windmill was responsible for pumping water from a well into a cistern, which was then used to irrigate the surrounding farmlands. This ingenious system of water collection and storage was a testament to the region's resourcefulness during periods of drought. Unfortunately, the windmill was destroyed during the events of the Second World War. However, the avenue leading to the house still carries its name: the avenue of the Valley of the wind turbine.
