Nestled in the picturesque village of Duilhac-sous-Peyrepertuse (population: 104) in the Hautes Corbières, l'Embellie Cathare is surrounded by breathtaking Mediterranean landscapes, ancient ruined castles, exquisite wines, and pristine natural spring water. This part of France has been influenced by the great civilizations of Europe throughout history.
To truly immerse yourself in the country's wonders, we encourage you to follow in the footsteps of the Cathars and explore the trails they once walked, eight centuries ago.
Everywhere you look, the beauty of the natural landscape comes alive. The jagged silhouettes of the medieval castles of Peyrepertuse and Quéribus, the forests of live oak, olive groves, wild fig trees, and fragrant herbs like thyme, rosemary, and lavender captivate the senses. Just a short distance away, the cool and crystal-clear waters of the river Agly flow down to the Hermitage nestled deep within the breathtaking Gorges de Galamus.
Upon returning to Duilhac, unwind by the waterfalls and pools of the old mill below the village or enjoy the sounds of music while sampling local products.
