The Castle River, constructed in 1577 by Gaston de l'Isle on the remnants of a defensive high camp established by Charlemagne, underwent a significant renovation in the 19th century by the renowned architect Viollet le Duc. Situated in the Renaissance wing, this enchanting building offers breathtaking views of the Dordogne valley and encompasses 59 hectares of picturesque vineyards. Within the castle, five guest rooms, each adorned with tasteful furnishings and meticulous decorations, provide a serene and refined atmosphere. Directions

To reach the Chateau, start by driving from Paris on the A10 motorway towards Bordeaux. Take exit 39 A towards St Andre de Cubzac.
If you are coming from Bordeaux, head towards the A10 motorway in the direction of Paris. Take exit 40 B towards De Libourne, Fronsac.
Once you reach De Libourne, continue heading towards St Andre de Cubzac for about 6 kilometers. The Chateau will be located on the right side after the roundabout by the River.
