All of the rooms at Val du Roy have been awarded 3 keys by Clévacances, ensuring a high level of comfort. The rates include a delicious breakfast served in a character-filled dining room, complete with wooden beams, a fireplace, and an antique dresser. Each room has a separate entrance and retains many original features such as beams, alcoves, four-poster beds, and antique floors.

Located between Nancy and Troyes, as well as between Dijon and Reims, Val du Roy is situated in Joinville, a small historic city with a rich history. Explore the former courts, old prisons, and the Château du Grand Jardin, two magnificent Renaissance buildings. Discover an old apothecary, a crayfish farm, and a beautiful garden in an old mill. Just a short drive away, you can visit Lake Der, the largest artificial lake in Europe, which is home to wintering cranes and several beaches. Don't miss the impressive General de Gaulle museum in Colombey-les-deux-Egllises, which covers the entire history of the twentieth century. Visit the Voltaire Castle in Cirey-sur-Blaise, where you can also admire the works of a visual artist in his priory. Welcome to the Bed and Breakfast of "Le Val du Roy" in Joinville. We offer 4 uniquely decorated guest rooms that bring you back to the past with their authentic atmosphere. Each room is adorned with canopy beds, antique furniture, traditional cupboards from Lorraine, and charming alcoves, all complemented by beams, wood paneling, and old floors. The rooms are filled with ancient trinkets, giving the impression that they have survived the centuries without losing their original charm. While we have incorporated modern comforts such as glass basins and modern showers, we have maintained the authenticity and character of the place.

Three of the rooms have shower rooms behind a screen, creating a private and pleasant space for each guest. The "Antoinette de Bourbon" room, with its canopy bed and alcove, offers a spacious separate bathroom featuring an antique bathtub and shower. This room can accommodate up to 3 people. The "Claude de Lorraine" room features an old double bed, an antique wardrobe, and various decorative elements such as a baby-basket and an old sewing machine. It also includes a shower, toilet, and lavabo. The "Jean de Joinville" room boasts 2 old corner beds, an antique wardrobe, and a double sink, along with a shower and toilet.

For larger groups, we have the spacious "Mary Stuart" room, which includes a double canopy bed with electric bedding, a sofa-bed for two additional people, a dressing table, a wardrobe, and a bathroom on the mezzanine level. Each room is equipped with a TV, and complimentary WIFI is available throughout the house.

Guests are welcome to use the kitchen, which is equipped with a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, ceramic hob, and oven. The lounge area, complete with a TV, provides a relaxing space to unwind. Additionally, you have direct access to our grand, old, and enclosed garden with its own separate entrance, allowing you to enjoy the outdoor space at your leisure.
