Welcome to the Bed and Breakfast of "Le Val du Roy" in Joinville. We offer 4 uniquely decorated guest rooms that bring you back to the past with their authentic atmosphere. Each room is adorned with canopy beds, antique furniture, traditional cupboards from Lorraine, and charming alcoves, all complemented by beams, wood paneling, and old floors. The rooms are filled with ancient trinkets, giving the impression that they have survived the centuries without losing their original charm. While we have incorporated modern comforts such as glass basins and modern showers, we have maintained the authenticity and character of the place.Three of the rooms have shower rooms behind a screen, creating a private and pleasant space for each guest. The "Antoinette de Bourbon" room, with its canopy bed and alcove, offers a spacious separate bathroom featuring an antique bathtub and shower. This room can accommodate up to 3 people. The "Claude de Lorraine" room features an old double bed, an antique wardrobe, and various decorative elements such as a baby-basket and an old sewing machine. It also includes a shower, toilet, and lavabo. The "Jean de Joinville" room boasts 2 old corner beds, an antique wardrobe, and a double sink, along with a shower and toilet.
For larger groups, we have the spacious "Mary Stuart" room, which includes a double canopy bed with electric bedding, a sofa-bed for two additional people, a dressing table, a wardrobe, and a bathroom on the mezzanine level. Each room is equipped with a TV, and complimentary WIFI is available throughout the house.
Guests are welcome to use the kitchen, which is equipped with a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, ceramic hob, and oven. The lounge area, complete with a TV, provides a relaxing space to unwind. Additionally, you have direct access to our grand, old, and enclosed garden with its own separate entrance, allowing you to enjoy the outdoor space at your leisure.

Ancienne maison très romantique, chambres décorées avec le goût d'antan. On se croirait dans un autre temps. Petit-déjeuner parfait, accueil très chaleureux. Jolie décoration partout. A recommander!

Joinville is situated in the Haute-Marne department, between Dijon and Reims, Nancy and Troyes, or Chaumont and Saint-Dizier. Once you reach Joinville, make your way towards Wassy. The Hotel du Nord is located on the main road. After that, go up a short distance, and you will find the B&B "Le Val du Roy" on your left at 11 Rue Camille Gillet. It is tucked behind cast iron grates at the bottom of the garden. You can park your car on the sidewalk, and the owners will provide further instructions on where to park for unloading your luggage at 22 rue du Valleroy.
