We have two expansive and cozy rooms, each with their own private entrance accessed by a stunning spiral staircase from the 15th century. The Chamber George Sand boasts a delightful double bed and retains its authentic 18th century design, complete with elegant wood paneling that conceals a charming alcove bathroom featuring a shower and separate toilet. The Studio Stevenson seamlessly combines traditional and contemporary elements in its decor, providing a comfortable space for two to three individuals. Adjacent to the bedroom is a convenient kitchenette, allowing guests to enjoy their stay with utmost freedom. Un week-end d'automne au château de Volhac
Nous venons de passer un excellent week-end au château de Volhac, en Haute-Loire, deux jours doux et ensoleillés, à profiter des frondaisons du parc, à découvrir la riche et passionnante histoire de cette très ancienne maison forte, un des premiers châteaux des bords de Loire. Chambre d'hôtes très agréable avec vue sur la Loire, excellent petit déjeuner partagé avec les propriétaires des lieux, accueillants, disponibles et attentifs à la grande qualité du séjour.
Une adresse à recommander
Le cadre est somptueux. Les propriétaires sont sympathiques et chaleureux. Deux gentils chats vous accueilleront tout en discrétion dans le parc du château. Décor authentique, grand confort, bonne literie et excellent petit déjeuner. Si vous souhaitez vivre un instant de rêve et suspendu dans le temps, nous vous recommandons cette adresse.
Directions
To get to the destination from Clermont-Ferrand, take the N102 and pass through Le Puy en Velay. Then, continue on the N88 towards Aubenas Mende. At the first roundabout after leaving Puy, turn left towards Coubon on the D38 road. After approximately 3 km from entering Coubon Volhac, take a left towards Brives-Charensac (do not cross the bridge). Follow the signs for the Historic Monuments "House of Volhac strong".
If coming from Aubenas Mende-N on the N88, upon entering Le Puy, head towards Coubon on the D38 road and then follow the directions mentioned above.
If coming from Saint-Etienne on the N88 towards Le Puy en Velay, once you reach the industrial area of Brives-Charensac, at the roundabout, turn left towards Brives-Charensac. At the second roundabout, take the direction towards Coubon on the D37 road. Continue for approximately 5 km, passing through the village of Latour. After around 1 km from entering Coubon Volhac, follow the signs indicating the Historical Monuments of Maison Forte Volhac.
