Welcome to the Alsatian Cottage, a charming and traditional barrel-makers house built in 1578. Nestled in the heart of the historic district of Ribeauvillé, a medieval wine-growing town, our cottage offers a delightful experience surrounded by a flowered courtyard. With an abundance of sunshine (1978 hours per year), you can enjoy the tranquil and picturesque atmosphere.Our lovingly restored house showcases the authentic Alsatian style and offers various types of apartments. Each apartment is peaceful, comfortable, and well-equipped. The highlight is our sunlit courtyard, spanning 410 m², where you can savor your meals or simply indulge in daydreaming. The courtyard is furnished with garden tables, chairs, and parasols for your convenience.

Our ideal geographical location places you at the foot of Mt Taennchel, allowing you to relax in the enchanting medieval city of Ribeauvillé. Ribeauvillé is renowned as a health resort, a green holiday destination, and a flowered village along the Alsatian wine route, nestled between vineyards and mountains. It is equidistant from Colmar and Sélestat and halfway between Strasbourg and Mulhouse.
The gîte is designed for 2 persons and features a cozy and comfortable bedroom with a wardrobe dresser, bedside tables, and typical Alsatian furniture. A safe is provided for your valuables, and the large bed is adorned with high-quality bed linen. The living area is furnished with a sofa, armchair, table, chairs, dresser, and outlet. The decor is tasteful and visually appealing, with half-timbered walls creating an inviting ambiance.
You will find a fully equipped kitchen with dishes, cutlery, sink, refrigerator, electric coffee machine, cooking table and oven, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, and storage units. The bathroom is fully tiled and includes a shower, washbasin, and W.C. Additionally, free Wi-Fi internet access is available.

The recently updated Gîte Alsatien is conveniently located in the heart of Ribeauvillé, a medieval town in Alsace. It is equidistant from Colmar and Sélestat, taking approximately 10 minutes to reach either town, and halfway between Strasbourg and Mulhouse, which can be reached in about 30 minutes. There is a free car park right across from our entrance for your convenience. Our historic house offers a warm and personal welcome, and is ideally situated for exploring the beautiful region of Alsace. You can relax in our charming courtyard, which provides a calm atmosphere in the midst of the mediaeval town. Come and enjoy a holiday "Made in Alsace". The Gite Alsace is located in the heart of the wine route and in the center of the medieval city of Ribeauvillé, equidistant from Colmar or Sélestat (10 min) and Strasbourg or Mulhouse (30 min).
If you prefer to travel by train, the closest station to our Gîte is Ribeauvillé Station, which is just 2 km away. Alternatively, you can reach us via Sélestat station (17km), Colmar railway station (18km), Mulhouse Train Station (60km), or Strasbourg station (63km).
