Welcome to "Le Matelot & La Normande," a charming apartment named after its beautiful Norman cupboard, a cherished family heirloom passed down through generations. The apartment showcases a sailor chic decor with vintage buttons, creating a unique and stylish atmosphere. This bright apartment measures approximately 33 m2 and can accommodate 2 to 3 persons. Upon entering, you will find a spacious living room of 17 m2, complete with a fully equipped kitchen, a wardrobe dresser in the Norman style, a dining table with 3 chairs, and a daybed (70 * 190) that can also serve as a comfortable seat.
The apartment features a cozy 9 m2 bedroom with a double bed (140 * 190) for a peaceful night's sleep. The bathroom measures 7 m2 and boasts an old desk with a basin, a large mirror, a shower, a toilet, a hairdryer, and a wardrobe.
The decor combines traditional elements, such as bourgeois moldings and dark wood family furniture, with chic maritime accessories and vintage items from the 50s and 60s. The walls are adorned with soft shades of blue, gray, white, and linen, creating a serene ambiance. The living room features beautiful parquet floors, while the bedroom is adorned with seagrass flooring, and the bathroom boasts a charming painted floor.
Throughout the apartment, you will find carefully placed marine objects and a selection of books for your enjoyment. The large windows allow ample natural light to flood the living room and bedroom, both facing south. From the apartment, you can enjoy a view of a small square with a nearby grocery store, and occasionally, you may see some residents parking their cars there. The shower room overlooks the charming Halley alley, featuring cathedral glass windows.
For a truly unique experience, we invite you to stay in "The Loft Seaman," a one-of-a-kind space with sloping ceilings and exposed beams. This studio apartment, measuring approximately 32 m2, is perfect for two people. The loft features a glass bathroom, contemporary furnishings, and an industrial decor with jugs and nautical elements.
The fully equipped kitchen area showcases a stylish black mosaic design, complemented by a former industrial cloakroom serving as a dresser. The dining area includes a table and two high chairs, while the sleeping area offers a comfortable king-size bed (160 * 200). The shower room is enclosed by a canopy and features a spacious tiled shower, an old wooden bench with a basin, a toilet, and a hairdryer. Additional storage is provided through commodus, trunks, baskets, and hooks.
The decor of The Loft Seaman is characterized by shades of white, pale gray, taupe, black, and wood. The exposed beams and metal canopy add a touch of charm and character. The furniture consists of antique pieces found at flea markets, contributing to an industrial spirit. Similar to the previous apartment, you will find marine objects and a selection of books for your entertainment.
The apartment features two large Velux windows on the night side and in the kitchen, complete with fitted blinds and sunshades. From these windows, you can enjoy views of the sky, the rooftops, and the illuminated Virgin fires. Additionally, a small skylight in the bathroom allows natural light to illuminate the space. Lastly, there is a dog sitting area with a view overlooking the rooftops.
We hope you enjoy your stay in either "Le Matelot & La Normande" or "The Loft Seaman," both offering unique and comfortable accommodations with their own distinct charm.
