Experience personalized service and exceptional comfort in a unique setting at our Bed & Breakfast located in the historic servants quarters of the château of Joreau. Exclusively reserved for our b&b guests, you will have access to a spacious room (>25 m²), a large lounge with a diverse library in English, French, and German, a hall filled with tourist information, as well as a private entry and garden. Both guest rooms are beautifully adorned with antique furnishings and feature impeccable private shower rooms and toilets under high exposed roof beams.

Awake refreshed after a peaceful night's sleep surrounded by nature and indulge in a delicious breakfast featuring homemade treats and served in the lounge with stunning views of the park. In the afternoon, after a day of exploring, hiking, or cycling, take advantage of the serene atmosphere of Joreau. Relax with a book, savor fresh fruits from the orchard, or unwind in the hammock beneath an ancient tree.

For dinner, you can choose to dine at one of the charming nearby restaurants or stay at Joreau. We offer a gourmet-plate with wine and coffee by prior arrangement, or you can utilize our basic kitchen facilities in the lounge.

Our ensuite rooms, "Cremant de Loire" (one double and one twin room) with private shower rooms, are perfect for a tranquil family holiday. "Saumur Champigny" offers a spacious 26 m² of living space, providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The comfortable beds, measuring 0.90 x 1.90 m, can be arranged as one king size bed or two singles, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The tasteful decor is complemented by an antique wardrobe and two armchairs. The private bathroom with separate toilet was recently renovated at the beginning of this year.

Description for Gite

The Farm of Joreau is a beautifully renovated house that offers modern comfort and charming decoration, blending traditional architecture elements such as touffe stone, slate, terra cotta tiles, old wood parquet, and ceiling. Perfect for 4-5 persons, this spacious 72 m² house provides a cozy atmosphere.

Upon entering, you will be greeted by a warm living room with a fireplace, where you can relax and unwind. The dining room and fully equipped kitchen are conveniently located on the same floor. Upstairs, under the roof, you will find two bedrooms, one with a double bed (160*200 cm) and the other with twin beds (80*200 cm). The bathroom features a shower and toilet. Rest assured, the beds will be made and ready for your arrival. Baby cot and chair are also available upon request.

The Farm of Joreau boasts a large south-facing terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue, perfect for enjoying outdoor meals. Additionally, you have access to a 800 m² private garden that offers a stunning view of the surrounding woods. While your kids have fun in the sandbox and on the swing, you can relax with a glass of wine. Firewood is provided free of charge.

Gennes, a charming village situated on the border of the Loire River, is conveniently located only 15 km (<10 miles) from Saumur and Doué-la-Fontaine, and 30 km (<20 miles) from Angers. Shopping facilities are easily accessible, less than 1 km (0.5 miles) from the gîte, and are open 7 days a week.

Located in the heart of the regional nature reserve "Loire-Anjou-Touraine," the Farm of Joreau is the perfect starting point for cultural, gastronomic, and nature-related expeditions suitable for all ages. Hikers and bikers will especially appreciate the house's proximity to the long-distance path GR3 and the Loire Valley bike trail.
