Description for B&B:

The village of Morey is situated in the town of BELLEAU, perched 305 meters above sea level on the slopes of the Natagne valley, stretching from the east to the west side of the Moselle rating in the Massif of the great Romanesque couronné. The XII century St. Peter Church stands proudly in the village, and the population consists of around a hundred villagers, affectionately known as the "wolves." Morey Castle was established in the XII century, replacing the ruins of a Templar monastery. Following the disappearance of the lords in the fourteenth century, Morey came under the lordship of JEHAN TOULON Nomeny, who maintained control of the fortified house until the seventeenth century. The castle then passed through the hands of Brassel JOLY MOREY until the early 1900s, and later, George DUCROCQ succeeded him as its owner. Unfortunately, in 1985, the castle was ravaged by fire and left abandoned, with only four walls remaining. However, with great courage and determination, the current owners have transformed the ruins into a charming guesthouse, offering five cozy rooms amidst a picturesque natural setting. The property boasts a large garden, protected by a towering wall measuring over 5 meters, adorned with various trees such as chestnut, cedar of Lebanon, lime, copper beeches, oaks, and maple. Additionally, a delightful duck pond adds to the tranquil ambiance of the surroundings.
