Welcome to the "On the Edge of the Cher" Gîte, a charming and fully furnished 3-star accommodation located in the heart of the historic center of Saint Aignan. Just 4 minutes away from the famous Beauval Zoo, our gîte is the perfect choice for a short stop to visit the zoo or for a few days exploring the magnificent Loire Valley and its castles.With a spacious surface area of 78 m2, our gîte can comfortably accommodate up to 5 persons. Upon request, we can provide an extra bed for a child and a cot free of charge.
The gîte features a beautiful entrance with a staircase that leads to the various rooms. The charming lounge is decorated in a colonial red and grey theme, complete with a lounge area, TV, and DVD corner. Adjacent to the lounge is the dining area with a table for your meals.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an induction plate, electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, Senseo coffee machine (pods supplied), and all necessary kitchen utensils. Please note that only frying-type cooking is not allowed.
The patio/laundry room is tastefully decorated and includes a washing machine, tumble dryer, and a separate toilet.
There are two independent rooms in the gîte. The master bedroom is furnished with a comfortable single bed (140 x 190), while the secondary room is equipped with a bunk bed suitable for a child's room (90 x 190 + 140 x 190) or a maximum of 3 persons. The bathroom on the floor features a shower, hanging toilet, and a white satin comfort washbasin.
Upon arrival, we kindly request a deposit of €200 by check. Visitors tax is €0.88 per adult, with minors exempt.
We also offer optional services such as bed linen and bath towel rental (€5/person) and a household package for €40.
In addition, Saint Aignan is a town with a rich history, boasting medieval architecture, winding and cobbled streets, and charming old houses built with tufa stone, beard, and half-timbered structures. Don't miss the 12th-century collegiate church and its crypt with pictorial frescoes, as well as the stunning view from the Château de Saint Aignan.
Take a relaxing stroll near the Cher River and enjoy the "Saint Aignan Beach Islands" with its festivities, swimming allowed in the Cher for refreshment, guinguette, and games for children.
Conveniently located near the gîte, you'll find all necessary amenities including restaurants, a bakery next door (ideal for breakfast), a bank, tobacco shop, cinema, grocery stores, and a terrace for your enjoyment.
