Situated on a family property in the 9th arrondissement of Marseille, in the southern area of the city, this bed & breakfast known as Ginkgo offers a unique experience for its guests. The property has been carefully designed with a restaurant and guest rooms, all while prioritizing environmental sustainability. From cultivating produce for the restaurant to utilizing solar panels for water and electricity, every aspect of the property's renovation has been thoughtfully considered. The name Ginkgo is inspired by the legendary Ginkgo Biloba tree.Ginkgo provides three double rooms, each with its own distinctive vegetable-themed decor. Check-in is available at any time during the day, although the rooms are only accessible after 3pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, and after 5pm from Thursdays to Sundays. If the room is occupied on the same day, check-out is at 11am; however, if the room is vacant, check-out is at 3pm. For any additional inquiries, please consult the host.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the spacious outdoor area of the property, including a visit to the vegetable garden. Additionally, there is a parking lot available for guests with cars.
The restaurant at Ginkgo operates from Thursday to Sunday, serving lunch from 12pm to 3pm. For guests' convenience, evening meals and high-end picnic baskets are also offered upon request, subject to availability. Please consult the host for further details.
Conveniently located just a few miles away, Ginkgo is near the National Park "Les Calanques" (5 minutes by car, 10 minutes by public transportation, or a 25-minute walk) and the sea (10 minutes by car, 30 minutes by public transportation). Furthermore, Ginkgo provides the opportunity for day trips on a sailing boat, accompanied by a local skipper, allowing guests to explore the treasures that Marseille has to offer.
