This charming Maison de Maitre was built in 1890 and is situated in a peaceful and picturesque setting on the border of Charente and Dordogne, near Angouleme. The interior is beautifully decorated in a chic Swedish style, combining elegance with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The house has even been featured in prestigious magazines such as Jean Darc Living and Maison Chic.It is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore the renowned wine regions of Cognac and Bordeaux, or immerse yourself in the vibrant Brocante markets and stunning countryside with its picturesque villages. Alternatively, if you're on a longer journey through France, our house offers a comfortable overnight stop. Conveniently located near the N10 autoroute, we can also provide excellent recommendations for exciting day trips.
To make your stay even more convenient, a continental breakfast is included, and with the TGV, Paris is only 2.5 hours away for a cultural excursion. We offer a private suite with delightful views of the lush grounds and gardens. The suite features an incredibly comfortable king-sized double bed, a private bathroom with a bath and shower, and a separate dressing room/sitting room.
The nearest airports are Bordeaux or Limoges, and there is easy access to the Eurostar from London via Paris or Lilles. A minimum two-night stay is required, and for an additional charge, we can accommodate up to three guests with three beds by prior arrangement.
