Description for Gite
This cottage is located on a spacious 3,500m² plot, alongside our main house and an independent guest room. Originally an old barn, the cottage features a combined living room and kitchen on the ground floor, as well as a bathroom and separate toilet. Upstairs, there are two interconnecting rooms, one with a 140cm bed and the other with bunk beds for children. Additionally, there is a garden area where you can enjoy meals while taking in the stunning mountain views. On the same site, we also offer the "Chickadees" breakfast for 2 or 3 people.
Please note that we do not allow pets and accept payment by check.
At the end of your stay, there will be additional charges not included in the rental price, including a city tax of 0.34 euros per person per day (children under 5 are exempt) and additional electricity consumption based on meter readings.
We provide a sufficient supply of wood for the stove, free of charge, however, the main heating remains electric.
We also offer optional linen rental, including single bed sheets for 10 euros, double bed sheets for 15 euros, and towels for 5 euros per person. Payment for linen rental is due upon arrival.
For your convenience, we offer two options for end-of-stay cleaning: you can arrange to do the spring cleaning yourself, or for a fee of 50 euros, we can take care of it.
The Baronnies region has been classified as a zone for remarkable landscapes by Natura 2000. It is home to a Cistercian abbey, a beautiful gulf, excellent cheese artisans, and many picturesque villages where time seems to have stood still. For us, it is a magical and rejuvenating place.
The surrounding area offers plenty of attractions, with the town of Lies located just 8 kilometers from Bagnère-de-Bigorre. In Bagnère-de-Bigorre, you can enjoy a charming farmers market every Saturday, a spa center (Aquensis), a cinema, a theater, and a swimming pool. Additionally, within a wider radius, you will find the "TOURMALET - LA MONGIE BAREGES" ski resort, the Pic du Midi de Bigorre (known as the ship of the stars), and the city of Lourdes. Our valleys also offer numerous opportunities for medium and high mountain hikes.
We look forward to welcoming you to our cottage.
