Located between Provence and Cévennes, close to the Ardeche Gorges, our establishment offers a delightful climate and an ideal location for both holidays and longer stays. Situated in the heart of the charming village of Barjac, which is known for its character and traditional Provencal charm, Oustau The Mulberry welcomes individuals, couples, and friends for stays of two nights or more.Housed in an authentic 18th-century farmhouse, our establishment features a lovely garden with outdoor furniture where guests can relax and unwind. We pride ourselves on providing a warm and friendly atmosphere, treating our guests as friends.
Our three comfortable and tastefully decorated non-smoking bedrooms are located on the upper floor. Each room is named after a tree from the Moraceae family, including the White Mulberry room with three beds (90 x 200), the Breadfruit room with one bed (160 x 200), and the Fig Tree Banyan room with two beds (90 x 200).
Shared facilities include a bathroom with a bathtub, sink, and toilet, as well as a separate bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet.
Breakfast, served either on the terrace or in the dining room, is included in the room rate. We are happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions upon request.
Several nights a week, we offer a host table service featuring Southern cuisine made with fresh seasonal ingredients. Reservations are required. On other nights, there are several excellent restaurants in Barjac and the surrounding area, and we are happy to provide recommendations based on your tastes and budget.
We also offer the option of pre-ordered meal trays.
Free WiFi is available throughout the establishment, and guests can relax in the library with a fireplace, a period-style salon with stone walls, where they can read a book or enjoy board games at their leisure.
Linen is provided free of charge, and parking is available nearby. However, please note that we are unable to accommodate pets, as we already have a small dog sharing our daily lives.
From our farmhouse, you can easily walk to the local market, supermarket, bakery, butcher, pharmacy, and bicycle rental. You can also explore the town of Barjac, which offers a picturesque setting for leisurely strolls.

If coming from the North on the A7 motorway, you should exit at Bollene (exit 19) and then follow the signs for Pont-Saint-Esprit and Barjac.
If coming from the South on the A9 motorway, take the Remoulins exit and follow the signs for Uzès, Allegre les Fumades, and finally Barjac.
If you are traveling on the A7 motorway, you should take the Avignon and Orange exits and then follow the signs for Bagnols-sur-Cèze and Barjac.
Once you arrive in Barjac, at the "Cicada" roundabout, take the direction towards the city center on D901.
You will find the pottery and pharmacy on your left, just before reaching your destination.
If you prefer to travel by train, the main stations to consider are Avignon, Nimes, and Ales.
For those traveling by plane, options include Avignon, Lyon, Marseille, Montpellier, and Ales.
