Description:

Description for B&B:

The Seigniory of Gerbe, established in the 16th century, underwent expansion in the 18th century under the ownership of Claude de Guerin de Chermont, a prominent figure as an adviser to the king and President Treasurer of France in Moulins.

By the end of the 18th century, the Seigniory was owned by the influential Lord of Racault, known as the Count of Reuilly. He held notable positions such as Mestre of the camp of dragons, Chevalier of the Order of St-Louis, and Lieutenant of the Guards of Monseigneur the Count d'Artois.

The Orangery, which spans 16 meters in length, is situated in the main courtyard and serves as a connection between the two square towers and the round tower. It provides direct access to the large room and two living rooms. Illuminated by five large windows, it allows the sun's rays to filter in, creating a pleasant ambiance for the mandarin trees and other citrus fruits.

At the end of a 400-meter pathway adorned with lime and plane trees, guests are welcomed into the Castle's court. This court features a basin and a fountain, further enhancing the inviting atmosphere for visitors to enjoy a leisurely stroll.
