Description for Gite

Villa du Parc is a charming manor built in the 1930s that has been transformed into a collection of delightful self-catered holiday apartments and two B&B accommodations. Offering a breathtaking view, it is ideally situated near the center of Prades, between the Mediterranean Sea and the Pyrenees ski slopes.

This picturesque property features a cozy lounge with a fireplace and comfortable chairs, complimentary internet access, a variety of games, books, magazines, and a video projector. Additionally, there is a dining room and terrace for guests to enjoy. Below the manor, there is a spacious underground garage where guests can securely store and work on their bikes, skis, and other equipment.

The grounds surrounding the manor span over 8,000 square meters (approximately three acres) and boast majestic century-old trees, providing a stunning backdrop of the Pyrenees. Guests can take advantage of the swimming pool, sauna, and jacuzzi, as well as relax on deck chairs, use the barbecue facilities, or enjoy the children's playground. Villa du Parc is conveniently located on the outskirts of Prades, allowing for a ten-minute walk to the town center where visitors can explore restaurants, cinemas, concerts, shops, and the weekly market.

Thanks to Prades' exceptional location, guests can indulge in their favorite holiday activities. Within just forty-five minutes, they can soak up the sun on the beach or embark on hiking or skiing adventures at altitudes exceeding two thousand meters (approximately seven thousand feet). Additionally, there are opportunities for rock-climbing, spelunking, canyoning, white-water kayaking, and paragliding, which can be enjoyed year-round due to the Mediterranean climate. Another attraction is the "yellow train," a narrow-gauge railway that winds through a narrow valley up to the high plateau of the nearby mountains.

For those interested in local culture, there are numerous landmarks to explore, including fortresses designed by Vauban, Cathar castles, the Dali museum or house, the Casals festival, and a selection of beautiful abbeys.

With its diverse range of activities and attractions, our region guarantees an unforgettable vacation at Villa du Parc.
