Description for Gite
Welcome to Pinot Black cottage, located in the historic Clos de Guignes, a 17th-century winery with a fascinating past. This estate in Tavers, Loire Valley, was once home to monks from the diocese of Meung-sur-Loire, who produced wine enjoyed by royalty, including Louis XIII.As you arrive at the large farmhouse, adorned with roses, you'll notice the vineyards that surround it, leading the way to a beautifully landscaped garden. You are free to explore this tranquil oasis, filled with hidden corners where our hens roam freely. Relax and rejuvenate in our heated pool and spa, or take a moment to unwind in our riverside cabin, perfect for fishing or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Keep an eye out for deer and pheasants that often grace our woods.
When you stay at our cottage, you'll be greeted with warm smiles and good humor. Although you will have your own independence, we are always available to assist you and ensure you make the most of your stay. Please note that the attic space with two single beds may not be suitable for elderly guests, but the cottage is ideal for families with children or friends.
Gite Pinot Black is conveniently located just 10 minutes from Beaugency station and 150km from Paris. You'll have easy access to the Loire River, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which you can explore on foot or with the bikes we provide. The famous chateaux of the Loire, such as Chambord, Blois, and Meung-sur-Loire, are just a short drive away. For more adventurous activities, you can visit the Beauval Zoo or enjoy tree climbing and karting in Sologne.
Allow us to introduce ourselves. Sylvène, the creative mind behind the garden and cottage decor, will be your guide during your stay. Her knowledge of the area and its activities is unparalleled. Victor, on the other hand, takes care of the 120 feet of vineyards on the estate. If you catch him on a summer afternoon, join him under the century-old walnut tree in the garden, where he likes to relax with our cats basking in the sun.
