Saskia and Martijn extend a warm welcome to you at this enchanting former Cistercian Abbey nestled in the picturesque heart of France. With over a decade of experience, they have been dedicated to pampering their guests within this splendid holiday estate. The historic complex, encompassing 5.5 hectares of lush parkland, offers delightful guest rooms in the main building, cozy holiday apartments in the charming outbuildings, and even romantic gipsy caravans on the outskirts of the forest.As the day draws to a close, guests are cordially invited to join Saskia and Martijn for a delectable dinner at the table d'hôtes. Whether it be a festive covered long table set outdoors or the inviting ambiance of the Grand Salon with its magnificent fireplace, the evening promises to be a memorable culinary experience. Additionally, special arrangements are available for cooking enthusiasts, golfers, hikers, cyclists, and all those who appreciate the finer things in life.

Description for Gite
We offer 6 charming gîtes, each featuring 2-4 bedrooms, a well-appointed bathroom with a washbasin, bath, and separate shower, as well as a separate toilet. The gîtes also boast an open plan kitchen equipped with modern appliances such as a vitro-ceramic plate, extractor, combination microwave, large refrigerator with a separate freezer compartment, dishwasher, Senseo coffeemaker, kettle, blender, toaster, and all necessary cooking utensils and crockery. The living areas of the gîtes are cozy and comfortable, complemented by electric heating and free Wi-Fi. Please note that there is no TV available, but a radio/cassette/CD player is provided.Outside, each gîte has a delightful terrace furnished with teak garden furniture, a parasol, and a barbecue for enjoying al fresco dining.
We offer weekly rentals for our gîtes, and all necessary bedding and towels are included, with 1 set per person per week. Please remember to bring your own towels for use around the swimming pool. Additionally, we provide a convenient start package that includes coffee pads, tea, waste disposal bags, cleaning materials, and toilet paper.
To ensure a stress-free departure, we will handle the final clean-up for you. And for those who wish to bring their furry friends along, pets are allowed in the cottages with prior consultation and a small surcharge.

Coordinates: 01°4607.35 longitude and latitude 45°5933.10. Upon your arrival, we kindly ask you to drive up to the courtyard and park your car in the designated parking lot after unloading the luggage.
- If you are coming from Bourganeuf, take the D941 road towards Gueret/Clermont-Ferrand. After approximately 300 m outside the built-up area, take a left onto the D940A road towards Bosmoreau-les-Mines. Continue on this road for about 4 km until you see the entrance gate of l'Abbaye du Palais on your right-hand side.
- If you are coming from Guéret, take the D940 road towards Pontarion/Bourganeuf. After passing the Forêt domanial de Chabrières, take a right onto the D940A road towards la Chapelle Taillefert. Follow this road for approximately 18 km, crossing the bridge over the Thaurion. After around 500 m, you will find the entrance gate of l'Abbaye du Palais on your left-hand side.
- If you are coming from Aubusson, take the D941 road towards Limoges. In Pontarion, right before the river, turn right onto the D10 road towards Bosmoreau-les-Mines. After 2.5 km, turn left onto the D43 road towards Bosmoreau-les-Mines. After 3 km, turn left onto the D940A road towards Bourganeuf. Continue on this road for approximately 3 km, crossing the bridge over the Thaurion. After about 500 m, you will find the entrance gate of l'Abbaye du Palais on your left-hand side.
