VillasDeRosa is situated in Aventuras Akumal, a private bay located 65 miles south of Cancun airport. Our beachfront condos offer 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms, with the option of hotel rooms facing the swimming pool. Directions from Cancun Airport to Villas DeRosa:
Upon leaving Cancun Airport, head east for one mile. Look for highway #307, the only highway running north and south from Cancun to Tulum. Make a right turn to head south on #307 and continue for approximately 65 miles (about 100 kilometers) until you reach the bays of Akumal.
During your drive, you will pass Puerto Morelos, a pueblo with one gas station and several speed bumps called "topes" on the highway. These topes can cause damage to your vehicle, so be cautious and watch out for them. They may be difficult to see as the paint on them is often worn off.
Further along the highway, approximately 15 miles south of Puerto Morelos, you will reach Playa Del Carmen, the fastest growing city in the Americas. If you wish to stop at a larger grocery store, stay in the right lane section and near the end of the city, you will find a Soriana Mall across from Sam's Club.
Continue south for another 12 miles, passing the golfing community of Puerto Aventuras with two more gas stations. Be cautious of topes near the people crossing bridge.
Finally, the last 12 miles will lead you to Akumal. The first Akumal exit you will encounter is "Playa Akumal," but Villas DeRosa is located 2 miles further south at the exit for Aventuras Akumal. Look for a green road sign above the road indicating "Villas DeRosa Resort." Take the left turn at this exit and you will also see the name Aventuras Akumal in green letters on the entrance wall. Continue driving south until you reach the bridge of Bahia Principe. Just before the bridge, you will find a highway turn area. Turn around here and head back north towards Aventuras Akumal.
Once you find and turn into Aventuras Akumal, follow the dirt road for about 1/4 mile. It will make a 90-degree left turn and you will see houses on your right. Villas DeRosa is located on the center lots, specifically lots 35, 36, and 37. Look for signs indicating our condos, restaurant, roof top bar, beach bar, and office.
