Description for B&B:
Our house is located in the peaceful countryside, offering privacy and a beautiful view of a 5000 m2 park and the surrounding hills. We have two cottages available for rent - the Blue Suite on the ground floor and either the Ochre House or the White Room on the first floor. Additionally, we have a unique retro-style room in a small 1980s Eriba caravan in the garden. As the owners, we live on the first floor and can be accessed through the south side of the house. We also provide table d'hôte dining options, with inclusive menus priced at either 20 or 28 euros. Free WiFi is available, and we are open for bookings throughout the year.
Alessandro and Camilla, two lovers of Italian and French culture, welcome you to the Glade. Our stone house, dating back to 1781, is nestled in the hills of southwestern Cantal Auvergne Volcanoes and Lot Valley, less than 2 km from the charming medieval town of Marcoles. If you are looking to explore the area, Marcoles is an ideal starting point for beautiful countryside walks and visits to exceptional sites such as Conques (35 km) and Figeac (45 km). However, the Glade is also the perfect place for those seeking relaxation, whether it be reading a book, enjoying a peaceful sleep, or simply listening to the silence while taking in the breathtaking panorama of the southwest Cantal, Lot, and Corrèze hills.
Our accommodation options consist of two bed and breakfast rooms - the Blue Suite on the ground floor and either the Ochre House or the White Room on the first floor. We also offer an unusual "retro" style room in a small 1980s Eriba caravan. Each room opens onto a tranquil landscaped terrace, providing a peaceful environment without any overlooking neighbors. The terrace overlooks our 5000 square meter park, while the Eriba caravan is situated to the left of the house, surrounded by trees and flowers.
The Blue Suite on the ground floor can comfortably accommodate 2 to 5 people, as the living room can be converted into a separate second bedroom. The Ochre House on the first floor is suitable for two people, while the White Room can accommodate 3 to 4 people. Additionally, the White Room can be combined with one of the other rooms to increase its capacity from 1 to 3 people. We also have two cots available for use, free of charge (cot linen is available for an additional fee of 10 euros per stay). During the low season, couples have the option to rent the Blue Suite without the salon for 58 euros. In high season, this option is available under certain conditions or for stays of 3 nights, priced at 62 euros.
For those seeking a unique experience, we offer the Eriba caravan, a retro-style accommodation option for bed and breakfast stays. This charming little caravan has a fixed bed with slats (140x190) and a seating area with two benches and a table. It also has a small private toilet. For hot water and shower facilities, guests of the Eriba caravan can use a bathroom in our house, accessible from the outside through a direct and independent entrance. More details and specific rates can be found on our website. Please note that we do not accept pets.
