Additionally, the beaches of Royan, St George Didonne, and Angouleme, as well as the historic cities of Cognac, Saintes, Pons, Meschers, Talmont, Royan, and Bordeaux, are all less than an hour away.At Domaine, we welcome you for any occasion, whether it be a family reunion, stage performance, party, birthday, or wedding. The village hall is at your disposal, providing you with the perfect space to gather and celebrate.
Sunflowers Cottage accommodates up to 12 people and features a spacious living room with a TV and DVD player, perfect for cozy winter evenings by the fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with a cooktop, oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer, and microwave. The cottage includes 4 bedrooms, one of which is located on the ground floor, and 3 on the first floor. The bedrooms are furnished with comfortable beds, and one room also includes a sofa bed. The cottage offers a large bathroom with a walk-in shower on the ground floor, and a bathroom with a bath on the first floor. Other amenities include two toilets, a washing machine, iron and ironing board, and a vacuum cleaner. Outside, you can enjoy a terrace with a barbecue and garden furniture. The weekly prices for Sunflowers Cottage are as follows: Low season: 900, Mid season: 1300, High season: 1900.
Le Petit Chai Cottage accommodates 5 to 6 people and is a charming converted wine store. The cottage features a cozy living room with a TV and DVD player, as well as a fireplace for winter evenings. The kitchen is well-equipped with an oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge with freezer, and microwave. The cottage includes two bedrooms, one with a comfortable bed and another with three beds. There is also a possibility of an extra bed in the form of a sofa bed in the lounge. The bathroom offers a walk-in shower, and there is one toilet as well. Amenities include a washing machine, iron and ironing board, and a vacuum cleaner. Outside, there is a terrace with a barbecue and garden furniture. The weekly prices for Le Petit Chai Cottage are as follows: Low season: 600, Mid season: 750, High season: 1000.
In addition to the cottages, we also offer two charming guest rooms named Clelia and Le Boudoir. Both rooms are located on the first floor of the main house. If you wish to dine with us, we offer a host table experience where you can enjoy meals made with fresh ingredients from our garden.
During your stay, you will have free access to our garden, as well as our fenced-off pool measuring 12 meters by 6. We also have an indoor games room with table tennis, darts, pinball, billiards, and fitness equipment. Outdoor activities include a badminton court and various games for children. We provide bicycles for both adults and children, as well as golf clubs if you wish to play golf in Montendre. The nearby village offers a tennis court and boules, which are also free to use. Chaunac is situated approximately 10 km away from Jonzac Montendre. It is also 60 km from Angoulême and 50 km from Bordeaux, which takes around 40 minutes to reach.
By Car:
To reach Chaunac by car from Bordeaux to Angouleme, follow the A10 highway towards Paris and take exit 39B (Angoulême). Continue on the RN10 and take the exit towards Montlieu-La-Garde, following signs for Montendre. If coming from Paris, take the A10 towards Poitiers South and then follow the RN10 towards Angoulême. Take the exit towards Montlieu-La-Garde and continue towards Montendre. For those coming from the west, take exit 37 of the A10 (Mirambeau) and follow the D730 towards Montendre.
By Train:
The nearest train station to Chaunac is Montendre, which is 10 km away. The Atlantic TGV also stops at Bordeaux or Angoulême, where car hire options are available. Additionally, it is possible to reach Jonzac or Montendre by taking the TER train.
By Plane:
The closest airport to Chaunac is Bordeaux-Merignac, which is located 55 km away and takes approximately 45 minutes to reach.
