Welcome to "Apart’Observatoire Saint Jean", a charming and character-filled gite that offers stunning views of the old historical district of Lyon. Located on the fourth floor of an 18th century building, this guest apartment provides panoramic views of the Saint Jean Cathedral, the Basilica of Fourvière, and the beautiful rooftops of the Renaissance district.

With its restoration in the old, rustic, and traditional style, this apartment is now available for short term rentals, perfect for both business and tourism purposes. The apartment is tastefully furnished with antiques and offers all the necessary comforts, including internet access.

The flat is divided into two levels and a mezzanine. On the first floor, you will find a fully furnished kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare meals. If you prefer to dine out, the area is known for its "bouchon lyonnais" restaurants, offering a taste of the local cuisine.

The mezzanine features a comfortable sofa bed for one, a coffee table, a cupboard, a safe, and internet access. On the second level, there is a cozy bed (140 X 190), a chest of drawers, a TV, and a private bathroom.

Cleaning service is provided once a week, and sheets and towels are included. Please note that pets are not allowed for the comfort of all guests.

Directions

Car From the A6 motorway from Paris, take the direction of Lyon Centre. Continue through the tunnel and take the first exit for Fourviere. After exiting the tunnel, take the exit for Old Lyon Lyon Saint Jean. Follow the banks of the Saone river until you reach the Bonaparte bridge, near the cathedral. Enter the Saint Georges or Saint John parking lot.

From the A7 motorway from Marseille, upon arrival in Lyon, take the La Mulatiere exit and follow the banks of the Saone river on the left side. Continue along the river until you reach the Bonaparte bridge, near the cathedral. Enter the Saint Georges or Saint John parking lot.

From Highway A43 from Grenoble and Chambery, set your course towards the Basilica of Fourviere, which can be seen in the distance on the hill. Always keep this direction. Take the direction of Lyon, then Lyon Mermoz. Continue towards Lyon Centre Peninsula via rue de l'Universite. Cross the Rhone river on the Bridge University and turn right towards Bellecour. At the Guillotiere bridge, turn left towards Place Bellecour on Rue de la Barre. Continue straight and cross the Saone river on Pont Bonaparte. Enter the Saint John or Saint Georges parking lot.

From the motorway A42 from Bourg en Bresse and Geneva, follow the direction of Lyon. Take the ring road and exit at number 4 for Door of St Clair. Always follow the directions for Peninsula Centre, along the International City. Stay on the banks of the Rhone river until you see the signs for Place Bellecour on the right. Cross Place Bellecour and the Saone river. Enter the Saint John or Saint Georges parking lot.

To reach 70 rue Saint Jean by public transportation:

From Lyon Saint Exupery airport, take the bus shuttle to Lyon Part Dieu station or Lyon Perrache. The first departure is at 6:00 AM and buses run every 20 minutes. The last departure is at 11:20 PM. Get off at Grange Blanche and take the metro towards Station Vaise. Get off at Vieux Lyon - Saint Jean Cathedral. Upon exiting the subway, turn left and continue along the square of the Cathedral of St. John. Take the pedestrian street Saint Jean and 70 rue Saint Jean will be the first street on the left.

From Lyon Part Dieu railway station, take metro line B towards Saxe Gambetta and get off at the second stop. Transfer to line D towards Vaise and get off at Vieux Lyon - Saint Jean Cathedral, which is the third stop. Upon exiting the subway, turn left and continue along the square of the Cathedral of St. John. Take the pedestrian street Saint Jean and 70 rue Saint Jean will be the first street on the left.

From Lyon Perrache railway station, take metro line A towards Laurent Bonnevay and get off at Bellecour station. Transfer to line D towards Vaise and get off at Vieux Lyon - Saint Jean Cathedral, which is the first stop. Upon exiting the subway, turn left and continue along the square of the Cathedral of St. John. Take the pedestrian street Saint Jean and 70 rue Saint Jean will be the first street on the left.
